Description
Made from over 10+ Portugues varieties this is traditional “Tahla Wine” made in the local large clay vessels known as Tahla. This wine comes from old vines with Alfrocheiro, Trincadeira and Aragones playing a big role. The wine is medium bodied, dignified yet generous with good acidity. Alongside dark fruits are game, earthiness, tobacco and chocolate. Elegant and well poised to drink now or cellar for up to 5 years.
Gerações da Tahla are a family winery in Alentejo, Portugal. Located in Vila de Frades, considered the “capital” of “Tahla Wine” and dating from the 18th century, the tradition and art of the wine has been passed down multiple generations now.
